How to spot new trends in the vaping industry

The vaping industry is moving faster than ever before, and there’s no sign it’s slowing down any time soon.

If you own a vape shop, you’ll already know how important it is to make sure you’re offering customers all the latest e-liquids, tanks, mods and starter kits.

There are thousands of new vape products hitting the market every month, so it can be hard to spot which will be popular and which will flop.

Here, we share our top tips for spotting new trends in the vaping industry and what we look for when choosing new e-liquids and devices.

Keep an eye on the big brands

Unsurprisingly, new releases from the industry’s bigger vape brands are often the most sought after.

Chances are your next best-selling vape hardware will be something made by manufacturers like Aspire, Eleaf and Innokin, so making sure you’ve got a reliable supply of their products is key.

In terms of e-liquids, it’s a little more complicated.

New vape juice brands are constantly entering the market, but a good supplier should be able to advise you on what’s hot and what’s not.

Make sure you keep an ear to the ground yourself though and build your own relationships with brands, as you might spot a new and exciting collection the vape wholesaler’s missed!

Explore social media

Strict advertisement rules placed on the vaping industry mean that e-cigarettes and e-liquids can’t be promoted on the usual channels, including TV, magazines and radio.

There is one exception, however. Brands can promote their products across social media, so platforms like Facebook and Instagram are great places to start hunting for the latest trends and vape releases.

To keep on top of all the latest hardware releases, you’ll need to follow all the big vape manufacturers.

The earlier you know about any new kit, the more time you’ll have to place orders with your suppliers and get stocked up ready for launch day.

Some accounts we’d recommend you follow are @aspirecigs, @eleafglobal and big news outlets like @vapouround, plus all your other favourite brands.

We might be a little biased, but we think our social pages are pretty great too! Head over to Instagram and follow @888vapour and our sister company @juicesauz. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn!

Youtube is now home to a huge vaping community, where manufacturers, brands and influencers share their thoughts on the industry and announce new vape product releases. There are thousands of reviews, technical breakdowns, unboxings and live streams for you to flick through.

Expert reviews on the latest vape kits and e-liquids are really helpful when you’re trying to decide what to stock next, and the comment sections below will give you an understanding of customer opinions too!

Try lots of vape samples

The best way to spot the next big thing is to try it yourself first!

You’ll probably already receive lots of samples from your supplier, but you can also reach out to brands yourself.

Whether it’s e-liquids, disposables or vape devices, manufacturers will often happily send you their latest products to try.

The more samples you try, the easier it will become to sift through the good and the bad. Don’t just focus on your favourite flavours though, make sure you’re stocking something to suit all tastes.

Listen to your customers

The easiest and most reliable way to spot a new vaping trend is by listening to your customer’s feedback.

Pay attention to what your customers want. If you’re getting a lot of requests for a certain vape tank or starter kit, then you need to do some research and get your hands on it ASAP.

For example, nicotine salts have skyrocketed in the last few years, so responding quickly to sales and staying stocked up on the most popular products is important if you want to keep your customers happy.

Staying ahead of the vape game is no easy task, but if you follow these simple steps, you’ll be spotting the latest vaping trends in no time.
